Investigation of Post-Earthquake Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors of Associate Degree Students in Health Education

Abstract

In the study, it was aimed to examine the healthy lifestyle behavior levels of young individuals who significantly affect the development level of public health and who are expected to be more conscious compared to other segments by receiving health education and who will be the health workers of the future after the 6 February earthquake. In line with the purpose of the research, 453 people determined by simple random sampling method among the students who continue their education and training at the university constitute the sample of the research and the data were collected by applying an online questionnaire. In the study, "Personal Information Form" and "Healthy Lifestyle Behavior Scale II" were used. The data were analyzed with the SPSS program. In addition, upon the determination of the data to be normally distributed as an analysis method; t test, ANOVA and pearson correlation analyzes were applied in independent groups. As a result of the research, it has been determined that the healthy lifestyle total score average of the young people is closer to the minimum value. It has been determined that the sub-dimensions of healthy lifestyle behavior have average and below average values. In addition, it was determined that there was a positive, significant and high relationship between healthy lifestyle behavior and its sub-dimensions.
